5 Steps to Starting a Valentine’s Day Program at your Hospital

A valentines day program is a great way to make pediatric patients feel seen and special, but not every hospital has the means to run a valentine’s program. We’ve designed a free, printable valentine that has a 3D surprise: an augmented reality activity that can be triggered using a smartphone and a free app. The only thing you need to figure out is who is going to cut out and distribute the valentines to the children. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Download the free printable PDF for the bear-themed valentine. There are four valentines per page and there are two versions of the free valentine: one with a space to write a name and one without.

  2. Print the version of the valentines you want along with the instruction PDF.

  3. Cut out valentines.

  4. Coordinate with volunteers, child life, or individual units to hand out to children.

  5. Bring joy to children on valentine’s day!

If you’re looking to distribute a variety of valentine’s, there are four others available for individual purchase ($20 each for a knight, outer space, dinosaur, and sea turtle themes), as well as a package deal for $60 for all 4 valentines

If you already have a valentine’s program, the free valentine is also a great way to expand and refresh your valentines.

The cards also make a great distraction tool for child life and could be used in outpatient settings as well.

Valentine’s day is a great time to engage patients and show them some extra care and we are proud to offer a free way to enable hospitals to do that.
